How Change in Address can affect your Money?

                                                       Income tax Department:-

 You may be having pending Income Tax refund from your last income tax returns. Therefore you need to intimate to the  income tax department after you change your address so that the refund does not return undelivered. Income Tax Notices are very important , if you ignore these notices than you may be required to pay heavy fine. Therefore inform income tax department immediately after you change your address.

Banks : -

You may be having the saving Bank account, current account etc from where you receive communication from the bank at your address e.g Bank statements, reward point, credit card, debit card etc. Apart from this if any unusual transaction happen in your bank account then bank will inform you at your address in the bank records. Therefore inform all your banks regarding the change in your address.

Government Department

If you are carrying on any business and had changed your address, ensure that your new address is updated successfully in your registration certificate i.e vat registration, service tax registration, excise registration, custom registration.

Insurance Companies

Your premium due date and policy maturity is intimated by the insurance companies at your address with the Insurance companies. Million of the insurance claims remains unclaimed due to the change in the communication address and is non intimation to the companies. Therefore update your address detail with the insurance companies. Always update your mobile no and e mail in your insurance documents

Mutual Funds

You get your mutual fund statements, redemptions etc at your address with Mutual funds. Therefore update your records immediately after change in address. Ensure that your mobile no and e mail address is printed on the mutual fund statements. If possible receive your statements on mail so that no one except you can access your financial records.

Post Office

You may be having the post office monthly saving scheme. Therefore you must inform and update your post office pass book with the new address so that the correct intimation of your saving statements is delivered to you timely

Telephone & Mobile Agency

You may be required to give the address proof of change in your address. The best way is to first update your mobile and telephone bills and then give the copy of these bills to the banks, insurance companies , mutual funds etc as a proof of change in address.

Gas Agency

You need to immediately update your gas agency for change in address so that your gas cylinder is delivered at new address without any hurdles.

 Driving License

In case of your wrong driving your Challan are sent at your address with the License department. Therefore inform them immediately after change in your address so that you can save yourself from the difficulties of getting renewal of your driving license.

Subscribers and Service providers  (Newspapers, Magazines, Cable operators, Doctor , clubs etc )

Inform your various service providers  regarding the change in your address so that you can continue to receive their services without any break in service

Schools and College

Your children might be studding in the school or colleges and there report card, admission forms, roll nos  etc must be delivered at  your address. Therefore get your new address updated in the records of school, colleges and other concerned education institutions.

Friends and Relatives

Do not forgot to inform your near and dear friends and relatives about change in your address.
